Access to Library and Online Resources

One of the Collaboration & Learning Environment's objectives has been to secure access for SWan staff and students to resources and services at all three Universities. This has been established at a number of levels:

  • JANET roaming services have been set up at each University to provide easy access to wireless networking. The systems are fully operational as 'eduroam' in all three Institutions.
  • With the mechanisms in place for the exchange of information between each University's student record systems, students are now able to gain online access to services, including certain e-resources. Students may also apply for an ID card which grants them access to an Institution's physical facilities e.g. library, sports centre.
  • SWan staff are also entitled to access certain online and physical resources at partner Universities. Anyone wishing to make use of this priviledge, should contact the SWan office (020 8725 0259) in the first instance or their HR Department.
