One Community
http://one.swlacademicnetwork.ac.uk
One Community is the result of a SWan Innovation Award to create an Online Collaboration Environment across the three Universities accessible to all SWan students and staff.
What does it offer?
The system that has been implemented, Elgg, has been specifically designed for educational use, with the emphasis on networking and collaboration tools, rather than on potentially distracting features, typical of external web-based systems. It is a completely secure environment.
Users can:
- Create a profile and homepage
- Create and contribute to multiple blogs
- Create and contribute to discussion forums and wikis
- Form their own groups and networks within the system.
Groups can:
- Be fully open or restricted to approved members
- Have their own shared file space
- Have their own blog.
Access to One Community
Please follow the link http://one.swlacademicnetwork.ac.uk to access the site.
Users can access the system with their normal Institutional username and password.
