New Interprofessional Leadership Centre Established

A new Interprofessional Leadership Centre has been established by IPI, the Institute for Leadership &

Management in Healthcare (ILMH) and the South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust.

Headed by Professor Mary Chambers, the 'Centre for Clinical Leadership and Interprofessional Practice’ aims to help employers deliver purpose and strategic priorities by 'delivering excellence in clinical services through effective multi-disciplinary teams within the framework of the recovery model'.

A key objective of the Centre is to provide leadership and management development for teams through interprofessional learning, research and practice development in innovative ways. To ensure that it meets our needs Mary Chambers, the Centre Director, will be meeting with key members of staff over the coming weeks to determine priorities and set objectives.

Fiona Ross, IPI Lead, said the work of the centre will be to develop learning and educational initiatives around employers' priorities. "The early phase will be engaging with stakeholders on how best to support employers' agenda."

For further information regarding the Leadership Centre, please contact Mary Chambers: mchamber@hscs.sgul.ac.uk
