About Professor Jan Fook
Jan has social work degrees from the Universities of New South Wales and Sydney and has worked as a social work and welfare academic for the last 30 years. She is currently Director of the Interprofessional Institute (SWan) and Professor of Professional Practice Research. Most recently she was Head of Social Work at the University of Southampton. She has also held professorial appointments at Deakin University (where she wrote and established a new social work programme) and La Trobe University (where she established and directed the Centre for Professional Development), providing short course training to health and social care professionals. She has published 13 books, and over 70 book chapters and articles. She is regularly invited to present her work internationally.
IPI's director is regularly invited to deliver keynote lectures, and also to provide short training programmes. Please read on for a sample of recent events and to access some of her slide presentations.
