For Staff
A key feature of the SouthWest London Academic Network is the interaction between staff at all levels across the three institutions. There are numerous opportunities to get involved with the alliance and these include:
- Developing new undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes or additional modules to existing programmes
- Developing and delivering new research collaborations
- Delivering joint PhD studentships with academic colleagues across the three institutions
- Developing and delivering new learning technologies to support blended learning
- Providing professional support services to staff and students within and across the institutions.
If you are interested in getting involved in any of the above or have other ideas you would like to explore, please contact the relevant institute in the first instance.
SWan is supporting staff who are engaged in collaborative activities across the Alliance in the following ways:
- Provision of desktop web conferencing specifically for staff meetings or tutorials where the participants are on different sites. This technology allows meetings to take place without the need for travel. In addition to features of systems like Skype, this allows those in meetings to share documents, websites and applications, even facilitating collaborative editing of documents.
- Arranging online and on site access to resources at partner institutions for those who need such access.
If you are interested in either of these opportunities, please contact: cle@swlacademicnetwork.ac.uk
If you have any other enquires, please contact: enquiries@swlacademicnetwork.ac.uk
